Explore Mountain Contemporary style with the Peak Series
A home can make a bold impression and still invite you to settle in.
Deep cabinet finishes, soft whites and touches of gold create contrast. Comfortable fabrics, natural textures and thoughtfully chosen artwork bring warmth to the spaces you use every day.
For this edition of The Atlas Design Studio, we’re pairing Iron Creek with the Peak Series—a collection that brings Mountain Contemporary character into your home.
Begin with the Feeling
Inspired by the Aiguille Peaks, the Peak Series captures the strength and presence of a mountain landscape through striking contrasts of black, white and gold.
Its coordinated finishes provide a grounded foundation for bold patterns, rich fabrics and modern art. You might imagine a geometric rug beneath a comfortable sofa, a sculptural lamp beside your favorite chair or a large painting that brings the room together.
The goal is a home with presence, personality and plenty of comfort.
Strong contrasts. Soft places to land. A home that feels like you.
Explore Dover White and Storm Black
Peak’s cabinet selections offer two distinct expressions of the same coordinated style.

Dover White introduces a soft white finish that keeps the room feeling light and welcoming. Its recessed-panel detailing adds definition while providing a versatile backdrop for other finishes.
Storm Black brings depth and a strong visual anchor. Its dark finish creates a striking relationship with lighter countertops, surrounding walls and carefully placed lighting.
The cabinet finishes are interchangeable within the Peak Series. You can use one throughout the room or combine them for contrast.
For example, Dover White perimeter cabinets with a Storm Black island would give the kitchen a clear focal point while maintaining a consistent cabinet design.
Find Your Countertop Balance
Peak’s countertop selections continue the conversation between light and dark.

Stellar Snow features a light surface with fine contrasting details. It can brighten a dark cabinet arrangement or support a lighter overall palette.
Stellar Night introduces a deep black surface with reflective flecks. Its subtle sparkle adds another layer of interest alongside the series’ contrasting finishes.
The countertops are interchangeable between the Peak packages, too. Explore them with both cabinet colors to discover which combination feels right to you.
Place the samples together and consider the whole room. A countertop that looks dramatic on its own may feel beautifully balanced beside the cabinets, flooring and wall color.
Create a Cohesive Foundation

Flagstone walls establish a gray backdrop that connects the light and dark selections.
Gypsum ceilings and trim provide soft white contrast, helping define the room’s edges and keep the palette feeling balanced.
Thornbury Oak luxury vinyl flooring adds dark wood tones and visible grain. That texture brings a natural element into Peak’s contemporary direction.
Gold enters as a styling accent—a picture frame, lamp, decorative bowl or metallic detail that adds warmth. Small touches can carry the theme without overwhelming the room.
Envision Your Palette
Our mood boards explore two ways to make Peak feel personal.
Living Area: Bold Contrast, Everyday Comfort

Light stone and ivory upholstery balance the darker wall. A geometric rug, patterned baskets and gold accents introduce the bold details that suit this series.
Greenery and soft textiles complete the room, creating a space that feels considered and comfortable.
Master Bedroom: A Rich Mountain Retreat

Ivory bedding keeps the bed inviting while rich blue fabric and warm gold details add depth.
Mountain-inspired modern artwork connects the room to the landscape.
A textured throw and plush rug soften the contrast, making the Master bedroom a welcoming place to unwind.
Pro Tip: Choose Your Focal Points
Ted encourages clients to establish a clear vision early and keep that direction in view throughout the project.
With a contrasting palette like Peak, decide where you want the strongest emphasis.
Perhaps it is the kitchen island, the fireplace wall or a favorite piece of artwork.
Review the lasting selections together before finalizing them. Then let your decor bring variety over time through pillows, rugs, bedding and art.
Give your home a lasting foundation—and let your personality fill the rooms.
