Some of the most welcoming interiors take their inspiration from the landscape around us.

The quiet grays of river stone, the warmth of earth and the weathered beauty of canyon walls offer a lovely place to begin. Together, they create a palette that feels grounded with room for softer colors and personal touches.

With Challis as our featured home, we’re exploring Atlas’s Canyon Series and two coordinating packages: Box Canyon and Owyhee Canyon.

Begin with the Feeling You Want

Imagine coming home to a space that feels calm, comfortable and connected.

Inspired by our rocky geography, the Canyon Series balances stone-inspired grays with warm tans and gentle neutrals. Its character comes from that meeting of cool and warm: a little river stone, a little earth and plenty of room to make it yours.

Soft pastel accents can bring another layer of warmth and personality. Think muted aqua, delicate mauve and creamy textiles alongside wood and woven textures.

Bring the calm of the landscape indoors. Leave room for the things that make it home.

Meet Box Canyon and Owyhee Canyon

Two packages offer different expressions of the Canyon palette.

The cabinet selections are interchangeable between the packages. You can choose one finish throughout the kitchen or combine the two within the same room.

For example, Driftwood perimeter cabinets paired with a Shaker Grey island could give the island its own presence while keeping the room within a coordinated palette.

Consider the two finishes together with your countertop selections and the light in your space. The goal is a combination that feels intentional and comfortable to you.

Coordinate Your Countertops

The Canyon Series includes Bianco Calacatta and Laza Grigio countertop selections.

Bianco Calacatta offers a light surface with flowing gray veining. Laza Grigio introduces a deeper gray surface with lighter veining.

These selections are interchangeable between Box Canyon and Owyhee Canyon. You might carry one countertop throughout the kitchen or choose a different coordinating surface for the island.

A lighter countertop can bring brightness to gray cabinetry. A deeper gray surface can add definition to a lighter cabinet selection.

Looking at the cabinets and countertops together helps you find the balance you prefer.

Bring the Palette Together

Grasmere Teak luxury vinyl flooring carries the Canyon theme through the home with its blend of wood-inspired texture and neutral tones.

The standard paint selections provide a gentle backdrop:

These warm neutrals help connect the gray and tan elements of the palette. Furniture, lighting and textiles can then bring softness and individuality to each room.

You don’t need every piece to match. Repeating a few colors and textures can help the home feel connected without making every space feel the same.

Envision Your Palette

Individual samples help you compare finishes. A room rendering helps you imagine how those choices might feel around you.

For our Canyon inspiration boards, we’ve paired the standard paints with two optional pastel accents.

Living Area: A Hint of the River

Misty Aqua • A river-inspired accent complements warm stone and natural textures

Natural stone and a wood mantel keep the room grounded. Cream upholstery, woven baskets and pale aqua cushions carry the accent into the seating area without overwhelming the neutral foundation.

Water Chestnut remains the standard color for the surrounding walls while Gypsum keeps the ceiling and trim light.

The result is a welcoming gathering space with a gentle connection to the river-inspired side of the Canyon palette.

Master Bedroom: A Quiet Canyon Retreat

Silver Mauve • A gentle mauve, soft textures and natural details create a restful retreat

Cream bedding, a soft mauve quilt and warm neutral cushions create layers of comfort. Wood furnishings and canyon-inspired artwork connect the room to the earth tones found throughout the series.

Water Chestnut walls and Gypsum ceilings and trim carry the home’s standard palette into this quieter space.

It’s an invitation to soften the day and settle into a room that feels like your own retreat.

Pro Tip: Choose the Foundation First

Ted’s advice about keeping a clear vision applies here too: pencil out the feeling you want and use it to guide your selections.

Begin with the lasting elements—cabinets, countertops, flooring and fixtures. Consider them together before choosing the art, bedding and accessories that will complete the rooms.

Those finishing touches can evolve as your tastes change. A coordinated foundation gives you room to explore new colors without starting over.

Let your decor evolve. Give your home a foundation you’ll love for years.

Let’s Find What Feels Like Home

You don’t need to have every finish selected before we talk.

Bring a few inspiration photos, your favorite colors or simply a description of how you want your home to feel. We can explore Box Canyon and Owyhee Canyon together and consider how their interchangeable cabinet and countertop selections could work for you.

The interior room renderings illustrate decorating possibilities rather than the exact Challis room layout. Accent paints, furnishings and decor are optional inspiration. Digital colors are approximate; review physical samples in your space before making final selections.
